Martin Woesler, Chinese name Wu Moting, Doctor of Sinology from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Distinguished Professor of Xiaoxiang Scholars of Hunan Normal University, doctoral supervisor, director of the International Center for Sinology, European Union Jean Monnet Chair Professor。His research interests include A Dream of Red Mansions, comparative literature, translation, cross-cultural communication, and modern and contemporary Chinese literature，He has published 66 books and 33 translations，Published 33 papers in both Chinese and English，Successfully applied for 41 research grants (EU Horizon 2020, German National Science Council, Hanban, German Ministry of Science, European Science Foundation, etc.)。He won the China Friendship Award, the German-speaking Region "Desideratum" Award, and was selected to the shortlist of "Germany's Best Professor 2019"。The main social part-time jobs include: President of the German-Chinese Association, President of the World Association of Sinology Studies, Vice President of the Harvard University Visiting Professors Association, President of the European "Dream of Red Mansions" Research Association, President of the European University Press, consultant of the German Ministry of Education and Research, consultant of the Humboldt Foundation in Germany。Other part-time jobs: Researcher at Witten/Heidecker University, head of the International History of Sinology Project, chief editor of European Sinology, European Modern Sinology, Annual Journal of German-Chinese Association, Sinology Forum Series and other periodical series。
