He was born in Anhua, Hunan Province in February 1964，He received his Doctor of Science degree from Hunan University in 2000，2001-2003 Postdoctoral Fellow at Peking University，2003-2008 Associate Professor and doctoral Supervisor of Peking University，2006-2007 Visiting Professor, University of Florida，From 2008 to 2020, he was employed as professor and doctoral supervisor of Hunan University and Changsha University of Science and Technology。He is now distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor of "Xiaoxiang Scholar" of Hunan Normal University, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and director of the Key Laboratory of Chemical Biology and Chinese Medicine Analysis of the Ministry of Education。

In recent years, he has devoted himself to the teaching and research of analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, chemical biology and other fields。Corresponding author in J. Am. Chem. Soc, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.Anal. Chem., CCS Chem.He has published more than 160 research papers in other journals and was invited to the Acc. Chem. Res.Chem. Soc. Rev., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.7 review articles were published in other journals;The first completed person won the first prize of Hunan Natural Science Award, the first prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education and the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Analysis and Testing Association, and the second and fourth completed person won the second prize of National Natural Science Award twice。In 2005, he was supported by the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young People, and in 2012, he was appointed as a special professor of the Changjiang Scholars Award Program of the Ministry of Education。
